About The Posy Lyons Forever Fund:
We welcomed our beautiful daughter Posy into the world on Saturday 2nd February 2019 and it was the best day of our lives. She was adorable, cuddly, sneezy, pretty, wonderfully weird and simply perfect; we love her with all our hearts. We shared the most incredible two weeks with her, loving her, cuddling her, going on walks and introducing her to some of our favourite people. She made our introduction to parenthood look so easy - we just wish we could have had more time with our baby girl.
Sadly, just two weeks after she was born, Posy's blood stream became infected by a Neisseria Meningitidis germ and she died from Meningococcal Septicaemia. A very rare case for a newborn.
We are devastated that we have had to say goodbye to our daughter so soon, but in our grief and lifelong effort to keep her memory alive we have set up this forever fund, in the hope that we will be able to raise money to support the fight against meningitis. Although Posy's life was excruciatingly short, we believe that she has left a beautiful imprint on this world and will continue to have an immense impact, even in her death.
Our hope is that this fund will be supported by fundraising, events and even gifting for Posy's birthday, all in aid of Meningitis Now.
